Manufacture and assembly of urgent parts for offshore refinery

Our client, an energy industry specialist, had an urgent need to retrofit replacement parts within an offshore refinery - all 300 of a particular assembly.

With no existing drawings, Micron reverse engineered a sample part to generate drawings, then manufactured the component parts in high temperature stainless steel. Components were then assembled into kit form, ready for a speedy install on arrival.

The urgency of the project led to the client taking all 300 kits within hand luggage to their offshore destination, enabling installation within a very short time frame from identification of the initial problem.
